About Work & Mother

Work & Mother is answering the call for more inclusive employee benefits. By providing commercial office buildings with full-service lactation suites, Work & Mother is ushering in a new era of corporate amenities. Offices equipped with a Work & Mother lactation suite offer employees a comfortable, private, FLSA-compliant space to pump.  For more information, please see https://www.workandmother.com/.

What we did

At Heilbut LLP, we are privileged to assist Work & Mother in growing and protecting its brand, including through obtaining registration of the Mother-Friendly Workplace seal (shown above) as a certification trademark. A certification mark is a special type of trademark with nuanced registration requirements. It is used to signify to consumers that particular goods, services, or providers have met certain standards set forth by the owner of the certification mark.

Eager to set the standards for mother-friendly office spaces, Work & Mother developed the Mother-Friendly Workplace seal for workplaces wanting to promote themselves as providers of Work & Mother’s fully compliant, high quality lactation suites. It represents that a building’s lactation facilities meet Work & Mother’s standards and quality assurances. Registering the seal is part of our efforts to strengthen and formalize the Work & Mother brand.

At Heilbut LLP, we approach intellectual property and business law matters with over fifty years of combined experience.

As a female-founded and mother-founded business, we are proud to support Work & Mother on its noble mission to ease the transition to parenthood and return to work for new mothers nationwide.
