Dear Friends,
A few months ago we celebrated our second birthday here at Heilbut LLP.
It is a pleasure to reflect on two years of client milestones and firm growth; two years of fundraisings and acquisitions; two years of trademark registrations and global IP enforcement wins; two years of technology platforms getting supported by service agreements and protective provisions; two years of listening and two years of professional development for each of us.
When I opened the firm, my goal was straightforward yet ambitious: to build a law firm that combines legal expertise with personalized attention, ensuring that each matter is attended to with an eye toward that client’s individualized success. We are still early on this journey, but we know we are meeting a need and that is what keeps us excited by the work every day. We are thrilled to hear that you agree; here are few recent client quotes that made us smile very brightly:
“Your partnership and collaboration these past few weeks have been nothing short of amazing.”
“The way you care for your clients, as a law firm, no one does … the comfort you provide your clients is invaluable.” (emphasis in original)
“I’ll be recommending you to anyone seeking a lawyer for the rest of my days.” (emphasis in original)
Over the past two years, we have reached some significant achievements for our clients which serve as a testament to the depth and focus of our legal practice. A few highlights follow:
· Among our clients with global trademark portfolios, this year we helped one sell substantially all of its assets at a sale price which went up a level of magnitude after the buyer reviewed the IP schedule.
· A budding entrepreneur sought our counsel to navigate his departure from his current employer with advantageous carve-outs as well as severance which allowed his new business to open and flourish.
· A favorite of ours has been the handful of managed services companies we have supported in launching SaaS platforms. Each has a unique set of challenges we’ve gotten to navigate in securing IP, protecting data, and solidifying end-user terms.
· Since opening our doors, we’ve helped clients raise millions of dollars, allocate mountains of equity to deserving employees and advisors, and build moats of intellectual property protection around their valuable creations and inventions.
As we celebrate this milestone, we are also looking ahead to new opportunities and engaging challenges. If you, or a high-growth enterprise in your network, is looking for legal counsel who will support its business’ development, please make an introduction as we are taking on new clients.
We are also excited about the era of legal innovation. We are constantly exploring new technologies to enhance our services and deliver the greatest value to our clients.
Thank you for entrusting us at every turn. We believe that understanding our clients’ unique circumstances and goals is critical to providing effective legal solutions. We extend our gratitude to each of you who has been part of our journey and to those who will join us. Your confidence in our firm motivates us to constantly improve and deliver the best possible legal services.
Thank you for being part of our journey. We are proud to be your partners from ideation to monetization.
Sincerely,
Wendy and your Heilbut LLP team
