MOTHER UNTITLED
Building and maintaining a career as a parent presents unique challenges. And while women have ushered in monumental changes which have created more equity in the workplace, the work is by no means done. Even today, women face outsized challenges navigating the paths of motherhood and a career simultaneously. Whether they are working mothers, mothers who choose to stay at home, mothers navigating a mix of the two, or mothers eventually returning to work, women are too often faced with unaccommodating schedules and downright discrimination, simply because they are in the position of being the default caregiver to their children.
As a woman- and mother-founded firm, supporting mothers as they navigate homelife and the workforce is especially important for us here at Heilbut LLP. In working with Mother Untitled to protect its valuable intellectual property, we lent an ear to founder Neha Ruch’s aspirations and goals for supporting mothers who pause their careers to focus on motherhood. Together, we created a plan around protecting this community for whom Neha fiercely advocates. Born out of these conversations was the plan we successfully executed to secure federal trademark registration for MOTHER UNTITLED.
Owning a trademark registration not only helps to build Mother Untitled’s intellectual property protection and enforcement abilities, but also signifies that the organization’s work under its MOTHER UNTITLED trademark is determinedly, clearly, and consistently focused on serving this underrepresented group of women. Women who take on new contours to their lives while leaning into family life, and those who support them, can confidently rely on the resources and toolkits Mother Untitled provides. Covering everything from understanding what comes with being a default parent to going part-time after a professional maternity leave, mothers and their villages are assured in knowing that the MOTHER UNTITLED brand is one of care, support, and community-building.
We are so pleased to get to work with Mother Untitled and look forward to continuing to support this organization’s efforts and achievements.
