About

Heilbut LLP

Founded in 2022, Heilbut LLP specializes in intellectual property and business law for emerging and evolving companies. With a work style centered around collaboration and candor, we are a firm for clients who value true partnership.

Never fall in line when you can blaze your own trail.

My parents were true originals; non-conformists who believed in the power of cooperation and the strength of community. They instilled in me the values of living with authenticity and acting with intention – principles that now serve as our foundation here at Heilbut LLP.

In this spirit, we’re setting out on a different path, with a stout-hearted approach that’s hard to find in law today. We speak with honesty and act with integrity. We live our lives with curiosity both in and outside of the office. We care for one another and celebrate personal and professional wins. And we foster warm relationships with our clients because candor creates opportunities for us to thrive and grow together.

– WENDY HEILBUT, FOUNDER

BECAUSE CANDOR CREATES OPPORTUNITIES FOR US TO THRIVE & GROW TOGETHER.

Wendy Heilbut, Founder Heilbut Law LLP

Wendy guides and advises high-growth companies and those who invest in, work for, and support them. Her practice bridges the gap between traditional legal service and strategic advice. Her skills shine brightest when she guides companies and individuals through situations of corporate organization and management, intellectual property protection and transactions, fundraising and strategic growth. She has an innate ability to understand and communicate with parties on all sides.

Wendy is well connected in the start-up, investor, and female founder ecosystem of New York City and loves making connections for her clients and contacts. Prior to founding Heilbut LLP, Wendy was the Managing Partner of a boutique law firm as well as an associate at a large global law firm; she also started and ran a non-profit for underserved mothers and worked at a start-up.

When not tending to her clients and team, Wendy is tending to her garden, her children, and her personal wellness.
